Description

AWS Infrastructure as Code helps customers adopt AWS services safely and efficiently by enabling large-scale infrastructure provisioning. You will lead engineering efforts in the Provider Experience team, building services and tooling (including CloudFormation, Cloud Control API, CloudFormation CLI, and Resource Provider Development Kit (RPDK)) that help teams standardize how AWS resources are described and accessed through the CloudFormation Registry.

As a Software Development Manager, you will refine product requirements with product managers, define architecture, and lead implementation and launch while hiring and developing engineers as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow an engineering team through hiring and mentorship/coaching
• Partner with product management to refine product requirements
• Define system architecture and lead implementation and launch
• Collaborate with principal engineers to deliver software for customers

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams
• 3+ years of designing or architecting systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
• Strong knowledge of engineering practices across the software/hardware/networks lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, live-site operations)
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
