Description

Design, build, and operate AI applications and agent-based assistant systems for business departments, taking use cases from prototype to production. Integrate data and document systems using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and other pipeline/API approaches, and establish a reliable data foundation in a hybrid environment. Ensure security, privacy, and governance for AI and enable safe, meaningful adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop, and run AI applications and agent-based assistance systems for specific use cases
• Identify, prioritize, and deliver AI use cases with business teams from prototype to productive operation
• Consolidate, categorize, and prepare AI-relevant data to create a usable hybrid data basis
• Design integrations for existing business and document systems (e.g., RAG/retrieval approaches, interfaces, data pipelines)
• Own AI-related security, data protection, and governance; protect agents and company data and integrate AI into identity and security architecture
• Drive internal capability building; enable colleagues to use AI tools safely and establish best practices and guardrails
• Help build AI solutions from scratch and actively advance AI adoption across the company

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or comparable qualification recognized in Germany
• Practical experience in developing and implementing AI applications, especially Large Language Models, generative AI, and agent-based systems
• Solid knowledge of AI solution development, ideally including RAG, vector databases, embeddings, APIs, and connecting data/document systems
• Experience working with different data sources; ability to structure, integrate, and make data usable for AI
• Knowledge of modern cloud and on-premises technologies and understanding of IT architectures, interfaces, and data pipelines
• Understanding of IT security, privacy, and governance for AI, including integration into existing identity and security architectures
• Structured, analytical, solution-oriented work style; ability to translate business requirements and explain complex technical topics clearly
• German language skills in speech and writing at least C1
• Enthusiasm for enabling colleagues to use AI safely and sensibly
