Quick Facts

  • Role: Applied AI Engineer (AI-first support/agentic services)

Description

Translate product specifications into scalable agent workflows, data source integrations, and production-ready agentic AI service architectures. Build and iterate LLM-based solutions using LLM orchestration, multi-agent coordination, and RAG, with robust evaluation and Responsible AI practices. Ship, deploy, and monitor reliable services that directly impact Azure customers.

Responsibilities

  • Build agentic AI workflows using Azure AI Foundry Agent Service and Microsoft Agent Framework, including multi-agent coordination, tool integrations, and agent lifecycle management.

  • Develop and iterate on LLM-based solutions: prompt engineering, model selection, and cost/token optimization.

  • Design RAG pipelines and integrate agents with Azure data sources and cloud-native services for real-time grounding.

  • Build evaluation systems using rubrics, golden datasets, and judge agents to validate correctness and safety before production deployment.

  • Write production-quality C# and Python with test-driven development, meeting reliability, performance, and security standards.

  • Deploy with CI/CD, feature flags, staged rollouts, and full production observability (tracing, logging, metrics).

  • Apply Responsible AI practices to ensure outputs are safe, fair, and compliant.

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) AND 2+ years technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent experience).

  • Meet Microsoft security screening requirements and pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
