Description

Install, configure, administer, and ensure the reliable operation of public transport–specific applications. You will document technical structures and services, test new hardware and software for suitability and compatibility, and support the ongoing development of IT industry solutions. You will also contribute to cross-cutting platform and infrastructure concepts and participate in IT projects, including planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, configure, administer, and ensure uptime for ÖPNV-specific applications
• Document technical structure, services, and applications; ensure system stability and data security
• Test new hardware and software for application suitability and system compatibility
• Independently further develop IT industry solutions
• Contribute to the conception of cross-functional platform concepts and to building the IT infrastructure
• Plan and carry out system updates and support patch management
• Track and report operating costs related to assigned responsibilities
• Lead IT projects, including planning, support, and execution

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or completed IT-technical training with further training as a state-certified technician, or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of SQL/Oracle databases
• Very good knowledge of network communication protocols and administrative support of IT systems
• Good knowledge of Microsoft- and Linux-based operating systems
• Strong technical understanding and good English skills
• High availability, strong organizational skills, and strong team and communication skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty
• Driver’s license class B (preferred)
