Description

Work with experienced engineers to build and operate Microsoft’s cloud network at scale. Develop network engineering knowledge, help automate network tasks and configuration deployments, support network monitoring and troubleshooting, and contribute to quality assurance and review processes for reliable, scalable network implementations.

Responsibilities

• Automate network tasks (test cases, configuration deployments) and support operation of network equipment
• Support network equipment and configuration deployments using machine-readable network deployment definitions
• Assist in identifying risks and bugs through quality assurance and network/code review processes
• Help design reliable, scalable, high-performance network features/components
• Contribute to insights for network design, implementation, and operation
• Support monitoring and troubleshooting to improve connectivity and reliability

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, with at least one semester/term remaining after the internship
• 1+ year(s) of programming experience (e.g., Python)
• Network certification from a router manufacturer or equivalent (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA, CompTIA Network+)

Benefits

• Base pay range: USD $5,690.00–$11,210.00 per month
• Possible different base pay range for specific locations (San Francisco Bay area, New York City metropolitan area): USD $7,410.00–$12,250.00 per month
• Certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation
