E-commerce UX Designer

Mid • Hybrid

Prague, Czechia

Quick Facts

  • Role: UX/UI Designer (E-commerce)

  • Collaboration: Development and marketing

  • Ownership: Sole UX designer

Description

You will improve e-commerce shops based on data, validated through A/B testing and built on a design system. You’ll locate where orders slip using analytics, heatmaps, recordings, and customer feedback, and then design full user journeys. You’ll deliver finished, component-based proposals in Figma, define testing tasks, run user tests with frontend specialists, and confirm that implementation matches the design.

Responsibilities

  • Find order drop-off areas using analytics, heatmaps, recordings, and customer complaints

  • Prioritize findings by business impact

  • Design the entire user journey

  • Produce ready Figma designs using design-system components

  • Create test assignments for each proposal

  • Run user testing together with frontend specialists

  • Collaborate closely with developers and marketing

  • Add missing components to the design system and verify the released outcome matches the proposal

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer, ideally in e-commerce

  • Portfolio with 2–3 complete cases (problem, findings, proposal, and measurable impact)

  • Independence: gather inputs, scope work, estimate timelines, and deliver

  • Designing in the context of the full journey (not isolated screens)

  • Accessibility by design aligned with WCAG 2.2 AA (European Accessibility Act)

  • Advanced Figma skills: components, variants, variables, and auto layout; comfortable working within an existing design system

  • Knowledge of A/B testing: statistical significance, sample size, and rationale for not stopping early

  • Ability to form hypotheses from data; experience with GA4/VWO/PostHog/Hotjar is a plus (not all required)

Benefits

  • 4 weeks of vacation plus an option for unlimited unpaid leave

  • 12-month fixed-term contract with extension possibility

  • Occasional home office

  • Sick days for short-term illness

  • Cafeteria contribution, MHD public-transport contribution, and a Multisport card

  • Employee discounts on company products

  • Modern office environment in Prague

  • Regular teambuilding events and company activities

  • Flexible working hours (start/end time)
