Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer

Senior • On-site

Gdańsk, PM, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior / Lead UX/UI Designer

  • Focus: AI-native product UX/UI and design system—bridge between Figma, code, and AI agents

  • Work style: 5 days on-site office engagement

Description

Lead end-to-end UX/UI design for an AI-native platform that makes complex decisions clear, transparent, and human-centered. You will own a Figma design system and connect it to the coded counterpart (tokens, components, variants, documentation) so engineers and AI agents consistently follow the same standards, including accessibility. You’ll define where AI accelerates design work and where human judgment and quality gates are required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine end-to-end product experiences from concept to production-ready UI

  • Build, evolve, and govern a Figma design system (tokens, components, variants, documentation) and keep it aligned with the repository and Storybook

  • Connect Figma and the repository using AI/LLMs (via Figma API/MCP, Code Connect, or custom tooling) to reliably flow design decisions into code

  • Structure AI guidance context inside the repository (Markdown guidance files, routing/linkage between components) so AI output follows design principles, standards, WCAG, and front-end conventions

  • Define human-in-the-loop review points and quality gates for AI-assisted delivery

  • Work in an AI-native SDLC, contributing to agile ceremonies and shared definitions of done

  • Present design rationale to stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate quickly

  • Prototype and validate flows with users and stakeholders; share learnings across the team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience at senior/lead level, with a portfolio showing complex product work and hands-on design-system contributions

  • Proven experience building and scaling design systems in Figma (variables/tokens, component architecture, documentation, governance)

  • Solid understanding of how design systems live in a repository (tokens, components, versioning) and hands-on experience with Storybook

  • Hands-on experience connecting AI/LLMs to Figma (API/MCP/plugins) and to the codebase, including building routers/prompts/Markdown-based guidance to keep AI output consistent with the design system

  • Strong command of design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), plus enough web-coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, component-based frameworks)

  • Clear, evidence-based point of view on AI’s role vs. where human intervention is required

  • Proven experience collaborating with development teams across the SDLC, ideally in an AI-native SDLC

  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, distributed teams including collaboration with US-based colleagues

  • Ability to own a workstream, make decisions under ambiguity, and deliver in a fast-paced environment

  • Expert-level English (written and spoken)

Benefits

  • Stable pay; Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 15% discount

  • Health insurance and multisport benefits; shopping vouchers

  • Referral bonuses up to $2,000

  • Career development programs: mentoring, soft skills, well-being programs

  • Certifications (Anthropic, Gemini, GCP, Azure, AWS)

  • English classes

  • Hybrid work by design with opportunity to work remotely within Poland; possible work abroad up to 60 days annually

  • Business-driven relocation opportunities

  • Team events and office amenities (entertainment/relaxation zones, snacks, coffee, table tennis, football)
