Senior/Lead UX/UI Designer

Senior • On-site

Krakow, MA, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior/Lead UX/UI Designer

  • Focus: AI-native product UX/UI design for a global financial-services client

  • Work model: 5 days on-site office engagement

Description

You will lead end-to-end UX/UI design for an AI-native product, partnering with the client’s Head of Design and a multidisciplinary delivery team to create transparent, human-centered experiences. The role sits at the intersection of design systems, code, and AI—helping bridge Figma and the repository so engineers and AI agents consistently follow the design system, design principles, and accessibility standards. You’ll define where AI accelerates design and where human judgment must lead.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine end-to-end product experiences from concept to production-ready UI

  • Build, evolve, and govern a Figma design system (tokens, components, variants, documentation)

  • Keep the design system aligned with the coded counterpart in the repository and Storybook

  • Connect Figma to the repository using AI/LLMs (Figma API/MCP, code connect, custom tooling)

  • Structure the AI context in the repository so AI output follows design principles, standards, accessibility (WCAG), and front-end conventions

  • Define human-in-the-loop judgment areas and quality gates

  • Contribute to an AI-native SDLC and agile ceremonies with engineers, product owners, and QA

  • Present and articulate design rationale, gather feedback, and iterate quickly with stakeholders

  • Prototype flows and interactions to validate ideas with users and stakeholders

  • Share learnings and raise the bar for AI-enabled design workflows

Requirements

  • 5+ years of UX/UI or product design experience at senior/lead level with a portfolio of complex products and hands-on design-system work

  • Proven experience scaling design systems in Figma (variables/tokens, component architecture, documentation, governance)

  • Understanding of how design systems live in a repository (tokens, components, versioning) and hands-on experience with Storybook

  • Hands-on experience connecting AI/LLMs to Figma and the codebase (Figma API, MCP, plugins; routers, prompts, or Markdown-based guidance)

  • Strong grasp of design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), plus enough web-coding literacy (HTML, CSS, component-based frameworks) for collaboration

  • Clear, evidence-based perspective on where AI accelerates design and where human intervention is essential

  • Proven collaboration with development teams across the SDLC, ideally in an AI-native SDLC

  • Comfort working in cross-functional teams across design, engineering, product, and QA, including collaboration with US-based colleagues

  • Ability to own a workstream, make decisions under ambiguity, and deliver in a fast-paced environment

  • Expert-level written and spoken English

Benefits

  • Stable pay and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a 15% discount

  • Benefits package (health insurance, Multisport, shopping vouchers)

  • Referral bonuses up to $2,000

  • Career development programs, thought leadership, mentoring, soft skills, and well-being programs

  • Certifications (e.g., Anthropic, Gemini, GCP, Azure, AWS)

  • English classes

  • Hybrid-by-design work mode with opportunity to work remotely within Poland

  • Chance to work abroad for up to 60 days annually

  • Business-driven relocation opportunities

  • Office amenities and social/well-being events
