Description

You will assess the current ITSM and BMC Helix estate, then define a pragmatic, scalable target ITSM architecture and platform strategy with a prioritized roadmap. You will set the CMDB strategy, ownership, and governance model, review integrations, and identify high-value automation and AI opportunities—supporting a transition away from an outgoing supplier.

Responsibilities

• Assess current ITSM/BMC Helix environment, including technical debt, process gaps, and data quality

• Define target architecture and a prioritized roadmap

• Establish CMDB strategy, ownership, and governance model

• Review integrations and set target integration principles

• Compare BMC license entitlements vs. actual usage and recommend optimization

• Identify high-value automation and AI opportunities

• Support transition away from an outgoing supplier by understanding what it currently handles

• Hand over knowledge to an incoming internal architect and technical team

Requirements

• Expert-level BMC Helix and ITSM architecture experience

• Experience assessing complex, legacy environments

• Strong CMDB design and population strategy experience (BMC Discovery vs third-party tooling)

• Expertise in systems integration and environment strategy (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD)

• ITSM governance expertise

• Experience with BMC license analysis for renewal/optimization discussions

• Proven experience in ITSM automation, shift-left, and AI use cases

• Strategic yet hands-on, pragmatic, and able to challenge customizations

• Fluent English (French is a plus)
