• Location/Work model: Warsaw, hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Description

You will design and implement microservices-based solutions in Java, including API development and internal system integrations, while contributing to overall system architecture and technical decision-making. You will ensure quality, performance, security, and scalability, applying approaches such as Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). You will also support delivery via CI/CD, observability, DevOps practices, and development/test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices solutions in Java

• Build and evolve APIs and integrate with internal organizational systems

• Co-create system architecture and make technical decisions aligned with program assumptions

• Ensure solution quality, performance, security, and scalability

• Design using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and DDD

• Participate in analysis, design, and estimation of business and technical requirements

• Support Product Owners, analysts, and architects with feasibility assessment and technical risk identification

• Participate in Discovery and Inception workshops, including decomposing Epics into Features and preparing the backlog

• Lead code reviews, mentor developers, and grow the team’s technical competencies

• Help the team solve technical issues while maintaining high software engineering standards

• Collaborate with project, architecture, integration teams, and external vendors

• Co-define and implement CI/CD processes, observability, and DevOps practices

• Support creation and maintenance of developer, integration, and test environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Identify, analyze, and escalate technical risks impacting program delivery

• Support adoption of AI and agentic AI in software development and developer work automation

Requirements

• Very good production experience with Java

• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing and building web systems

• Experience in microservices and distributed systems architecture

• Very good knowledge of architectural/integration patterns, API design, and system integration

• Very good knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

• Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization)

• Practical knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture

• Practical knowledge of end-to-end observability and application security principles

• Experience with code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team

• Experience working cross-functionally and co-owning technology decisions and risk assessment

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• English at least B2
