Description

Lead a Java development team responsible for building and improving an enterprise HR Tech product used by organizations worldwide. You will combine engineering management (1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and contributing to hiring) with active involvement in system design, architectural decisions, and maintaining high code quality. You will also plan delivery against the product roadmap, identify risks and dependencies, and collaborate with Product Managers and Designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Java development team
• Run 1:1 meetings, provide feedback, and support engineers’ career development
• Participate in hiring and strengthening the team
• Provide mentoring and coaching
• Remain hands-on: design and develop systems
• Make architectural decisions and ensure high code quality
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other technical teams
• Plan work and deliver the product roadmap
• Identify risks and dependencies; continuously improve the software delivery process

Requirements

• Experience in a Team Lead role
• Several years of experience as a Senior Java Developer
• Experience managing a software engineering team
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and web applications
• Practical knowledge of microservice architecture
• Cloud experience with AWS
• Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
• Ability to make technical decisions and lead architecture discussions
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Very good English and Polish
