Description

You will administer, operate, and continuously improve security and network infrastructure, including hybrid cloud services based on MS Azure. You will support the ISMS and assist with internal/external audits, certifications, and compliance activities, while implementing required security standards and regulatory requirements. The role also includes security monitoring, vulnerability/update/patch management, and analysis of security events, weaknesses, and risks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and continuously evolve security and network infrastructure

• Administer and develop hybrid cloud infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure

• Support development of the information security management system (ISMS) and assist with audits, certifications, and reviews

• Help implement and comply with security standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, BSI Grundschutz, NIS2, NIST)

• Run and improve vulnerability management, update, and monitoring systems

• Coordinate external service providers and technology partners (performance monitoring and quality assurance)

• Support and evolve security-relevant infrastructure services (firewalls, VPN, remote access, endpoint and mobile device management)

• Analyze security events, vulnerabilities, and technical risks; help implement improvement measures

• Participate in IT, infrastructure, and security projects; manage assigned work packages independently

• Support planning and conducting security awareness activities, trainings, and exercises

• Create and maintain technical documentation (network documentation, operating manuals, process descriptions, decision templates)

Requirements

• Degree in relevant field, or equivalent knowledge and skills from long-term professional experience

• Multi-year professional experience in IT security, network infrastructure, or Security Operations

• Experience with IaC and Terraform

• Knowledge of modern networking/security concepts (Zero Trust, segmentation, SASE, Cloud Security or similar)

• Experience operating and evolving WAN/LAN/WLAN and firewall infrastructure

• Experience with security monitoring/logging/SIEM solutions

• Familiarity with current security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in information security

• Experience collaborating with external providers/technology partners

• Experience contributing to infrastructure/network/security projects

• Strong analytical skills and structured, independent working style

• Service-oriented, strong communication skills, and teamwork

• Very good German and good English (written and spoken)

• CISSP/CISM/CCSP or similar certifications are desirable

• M&E tariff pay (Hamburg/Küste), ~€79,000 gross annual base pay plus tariff special payments; target total pay can exceed ~€94,500 gross after about three years with full eligibility
