Description

You will maintain and develop the organization’s on-premise and cloud infrastructure and ensure reliable day-to-day operations. The role centers on a central monitoring environment based on Checkmk, integrating new systems and continuously improving checks, dashboards, alerts, and thresholds. You will also administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, support backup and recovery with Veeam, and help operate and evolve network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Further develop the on-premise and cloud infrastructure and ensure daily operations

• Operate and enhance centralized, Checkmk-based monitoring for transparent observation of IT systems, services, and infrastructure

• Integrate new systems and services into monitoring and continuously develop checks, dashboards, alerting, and threshold values

• Administer and support the evolution of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365

• Support operation and further development of on-premise and cloud infrastructure

• Operate backup and recovery infrastructure with Veeam and support ensuring and regularly verifying restore capability

• Work in day-to-day operation of the network environment and support administration and evolution of routers, switches, and firewalls

• Contribute to the conception and design of new infrastructure and system solutions and accompany their rollout and operation

• Analyze and resolve incidents in IT operations in close collaboration with colleagues across IT areas and with external service providers

Requirements

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification

• Practical experience operating and monitoring complex IT infrastructures

• Solid knowledge of Checkmk or experience with comparable enterprise monitoring solutions

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, including operation of hybrid IT infrastructures

• Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or comparable backup and recovery solutions

• Knowledge of network technology and working with routers, switches, and firewalls

• Enjoyment in actively questioning and further developing technical solutions

• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style with teamwork and communication skills

• Good German language skills
