Description

You will be responsible for the operational operation of a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure. The role includes lifecycle management (monitoring, patching, firmware updates, and configuration changes), building and integrating network/firewall/storage/compute components, and enabling customer-specific tenant environments. You will also perform migrations, implement SLA and security settings, manage backups, and support incident/change/problem management while automating recurring operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain multi-tenant cloud platforms at the data center locations
• Build network, firewall, storage, and compute components and integrate them into existing platform landscapes
• Handle lifecycle management: monitoring, patching, firmware updates, and configuration changes
• Provide customer-specific environments within the shared platform (network segments, resources, backup scopes)
• Execute migrations in the shared cloud including configuration and documentation
• Implement customer SLA requirements, backup targets, and security settings
• Run and monitor central platform backups using Veeam, Commvault, or Rubrik
• Participate in incident, change, and problem management at tenant and platform level
• Support housing operations (support for customer hardware, remote hands, operational monitoring)
• Use monitoring and event handling to meet SLAs and operating standards
• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Automate recurring operational tasks
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and configurations

Requirements

• Completed IT education or equivalent qualification (e.g., system integration training, IT degree, or comparable)
• Experience operating cloud/virtualization platforms, especially OpenStack and VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, and firewalling
• Storage technology knowledge: SAN, NAS
• Linux and/or Windows Server administration knowledge
• Basic knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
• Basic knowledge of monitoring tools (CheckMK, N-central, Prometheus)
• Willingness for on-call duty
• Willingness for occasional onsite presence (typically 1–2 times per month)
• Structured, self-organized working style with high responsibility
• Communication skills, teamwork, and customer/partner collaboration mindset
• Willingness to learn and quickly ramp up on new technologies
• Very good German language skills (spoken and written)
• Senior level (if applicable): multi-tenant operations experience with tenant isolation
• Senior level (if applicable): automation experience (Ansible, Terraform, PowerCLI)
• Senior level (if applicable): ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
• Senior level (if applicable): migration experience and responsibility for platform components
