IT Infrastructure Maintenance Specialist (Data Center)

Description

Maintain and ensure reliable operation of ING’s data center infrastructure, especially power systems (transformers, generators, UPS, electrical distribution) and precision HVAC. Perform technical measurements and analyses, handle incidents, and identify root causes while working with external service providers. You will also install/deinstall and commission equipment and build/modernize the logical network, keeping documentation aligned with ING standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee power systems: transformers, power generators, UPS units, electrical distribution
• Manage precision air-conditioning systems
• Conduct technical measurements and analyses
• Perform technical monitoring
• Resolve outages and determine their causes
• Collaborate with external service providers
• Install, deinstall, and commission computer equipment
• Connect equipment to electrical and logical networks
• Build and modernize the logical network
• Prepare and update documentation according to ING standards

Requirements

• Technical education (minimum secondary with passing high school exit exam) in electrical engineering, IT, telecommunications, or related
• Availability to respond to outages also outside standard working hours
• Professional experience in electrical engineering, IT, telecommunications, or hardware
• Knowledge of how data centers operate
• Strong manual skills
• SEP authorization
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to respond quickly to failures (travel time up to 1 hour)
• English at a communicative level (B1 minimum)
• Active driver’s license category B
