Description

Turn broad, sometimes ambiguous product requirements into simple, scalable technical solutions. Own complex features end to end, including architecture and design decisions across APIs, schemas, service boundaries, failure modes, scalability, and cost. Work in an AI-assisted development workflow and apply strict review/verification before anything reaches production.

Responsibilities

• Use AI agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to plan, implement, test, and refactor solutions
• Break down complex work into tasks that AI agents can execute effectively; run parallel workstreams when appropriate
• Review and verify AI-generated code for edge cases, security implications, performance, and overall quality
• Maintain engineering and architectural standards across an AI-assisted codebase
• Debug production issues across services using telemetry and observability tools and drive issues to resolution
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, DevOps, and QA to shape solutions—not just implement requirements
• Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly while taking ownership of outcomes

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Senior Software Engineer with the ability to operate independently
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js
• Experience with React/Next.js
• Strong understanding of APIs, networking, databases, distributed systems, and security
• Hands-on experience designing APIs, schemas, and service boundaries for scalable systems
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
• Proven ability to work with ambiguous requirements, identify trade-offs, and make sound product and technical decisions
• Experience taking ownership of larger technical areas and influencing architecture beyond individual features
• AI-native development approach using coding agents as a core part of daily workflow
• Strong verification and code-review discipline (read diffs, test generated code, understand edge cases)
• Ability to quickly adapt to unfamiliar technologies and programming languages
• English proficiency: C1+
