Description

Backend-first role building scalable web applications and high-performance APIs powering a modern Hardware-as-a-Service platform. You’ll own features end-to-end—from database models and backend services to frontend integration—and take responsibility through testing, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) are used to improve workflows while keeping production-grade code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Go
• Architect and deliver end-to-end features (database models, backend services, and frontend integration)
• Build reliable, maintainable solutions with a focus on performance and scalability
• Contribute to React/TypeScript frontend when needed to deliver complete features
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to turn requirements into product features
• Own services throughout their lifecycle: testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting
• Leverage AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex) to improve development workflows
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture improvements, and engineering best practices

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments
• Strong hands-on Go experience in production
• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining high-scale web applications and APIs
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, system design, and data modeling
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and Git
• Strong ownership mindset to take responsibility from design to production
• Interest in AI-assisted/agentic coding workflows with a focus on code quality and engineering judgment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders)
• Fluent English

Nice to have

• Experience with React or TypeScript
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools
