Description

Own technical engagements and help ensure project success by defining and designing secure, scalable AWS architectures for EdTech customers. Serve as a security subject matter expert and provide strategic, consultative guidance to sales and business development teams. Deliver deep technical thought leadership through technical discussions and presentations, and help share best practices across the Solutions Architecture community.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success for specific customer projects

• Define and design architectures; build deep expertise in AWS and how applications/services are constructed on AWS

• Provide subject matter expertise on security for customer applications and services

• Lead technical design and thought leadership for EdTech cloud computing

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community

• Participate in deep-dive technical discussions and maintain current technical skills and awareness of industry trends

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in relevant technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

• Technical presentation experience (whiteboard; small and large group presentations)

• Web services development/deployment experience and cloud computing experience

• Website/services operations, management, and security experience

• Ability to travel 30%
