At MoroSystems, we build top-tier software for leading Czech and international clients. For our key project with a globally renowned e-commerce giant, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to strengthen their purchase conversion and transactional teams. You will take ownership of cross-channel communication systems—handling everything from purchase conversions to mission-critical, real-time transactional messaging.

We are not looking for a team lead or people manager. We need a Senior Engineer (Individual Contributor) -someone who loves clean code, smart architecture, and thrives on solving complex distributed system challenges on a global scale.

What will you work on & what can you expect?

• Global e-commerce at massive scale: You will build and scale high-load backends and integrations for millions of active users daily around the globe.
• High engineering autonomy: Zero micromanagement. We expect proactivity, analytical thinking, contextual architectural design, and the ability to own features end-to-end—from initial idea to production deployment.
• Daily international collaboration: You will be an equal engineering partner to tech leads and architects based in North America (Toronto) and Prague.

What are we looking for?

• Expert-level Backend: Java (expert level), Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, distributed systems architecture, and complex debugging. Java is your native language.
• Hands-on Front-End experience: HTML/CSS and active, real-world experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Node.js, or similar modern JS/TS frameworks).
• Fluent English at C1 level: This isn't about passively reading Jira tickets. We need someone who thinks in English. You must be able to seamlessly switch to English and confidently lead a hour-long technical debate, defend architectural decisions, and articulate complex ideas with North American tech leads without searching for words.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience: You have years of writing production code and designing complex systems under your belt (experience in e-commerce, fintech, or high-traffic systems is a huge plus).
• Pure Engineering Mindset (Individual Contributor): You enjoy architecture, clean code, Git, Agile practices, code reviews, and delivering a great product. You don't need or want to manage people—your domain is engineering excellence.
• Prague Location & Onboarding: We are looking for someone based in Prague or within commuting distance. For onboarding and initial alignment, we expect 3 days a week on-site in our Prague office (12 days/month), with significantly higher remote flexibility once you are fully onboarded.
