Description

You will develop and maintain backend services in Java deployed on AWS (e.g., Fargate and Lambda) and work with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL. The role also includes contributing to the design and implementation of APIs for frontend applications and improving application performance and security using agile practices. Occasional help with React frontend development is available, with prior frontend experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java backend services deployed in AWS (Fargate, Lambda)

• Work with relational databases (primarily PostgreSQL) and other suitable database solutions

• Participate in API design and implementation for frontend applications

• Apply AWS cloud services knowledge and agile development practices

• Support performance and security improvement activities

• Provide occasional React frontend assistance (frontend experience is an advantage)

• Communicate effectively and collaborate effectively within a team

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java and backend development

• Experience with AWS, especially Fargate and Lambda

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases

• Experience designing and developing APIs

• Knowledge of React and frontend development is an advantage

• Understanding of application performance and security

• Experience working in an agile environment

• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Fluent Czech or Slovak
