Description

You will help modernize and improve key business processes by building and maintaining backend services in Java deployed on AWS (e.g., Fargate and Lambda). You will work with PostgreSQL and other relational data solutions, contribute to API design/implementation for frontend applications, and support performance and security improvements. There may be occasional involvement in React frontend development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java running on AWS (Fargate, Lambda)

• Work with relational databases (especially PostgreSQL) or other suitable database solutions

• Participate in designing and implementing APIs for frontend applications

• Apply AWS cloud knowledge and agile development practices

• Support initiatives focused on application performance and security

• Occasionally assist with React frontend development (frontend experience is an advantage)

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java and backend development

• Experience with AWS, especially Fargate and Lambda

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases

• Experience designing and developing APIs

• Understanding of application performance and security

• Experience in an agile environment

• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Fluent Czech or Slovak
