Description

You will write and maintain software that solves complex network management and monitoring tasks. The role includes deploying and auditing network device configurations, automating validation/testing, and monitoring network health and performance with visualization and alerting. You will collaborate with engineering teams to integrate network automation into deployment pipelines and drive automation across the software development, release, and operations lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation software for network management and monitoring

  • Deploy, audit, and validate network device configurations

  • Automate testing and validation procedures

  • Monitor network health and performance with visualization and alerting

  • Integrate network automation into deployment pipelines with other engineering teams

  • Drive automation through development, release, and operations stages

  • Stay current with network automation industry trends and apply improvements

  • Support Linux-based environments and containerized services (e.g., NMS, telemetry, flowspec/routing controllers, syslog, TACACS, netflow)

Requirements

  • Background in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IP routing protocols)

  • Unix-based systems administration experience

  • Experience with network vendor devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia) and their automation interfaces

  • Python development experience for automation and data handling

  • Deep understanding of network protocols, including BGP and OSPF

  • Hands-on Docker experience

  • Monitoring solutions experience (Prometheus, Grafana)

  • Ansible familiarity for automation and configuration management

  • Git and CI/CD tools familiarity

  • Database experience (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse)

  • API experience and comfort with JSON/YAML

  • Fluent English
