Description

You will be the finance leader for the group’s main operating company and at the same time work on unifying financial processes, reporting, and controlling across other Czech companies. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, project and business line profitability, and oversight of accounting and tax in collaboration with external partners. You may also support selected M&A activities through financial due diligence and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end finance management for the group’s largest operating company (reporting, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting).
  • Manage cost and profitability for projects and business lines.
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to management and participate in key decisions.
  • Oversee accounting and tax agenda together with external partners.
  • Provide methodological and professional leadership to finance teams in other Czech companies.
  • Unify financial processes, reporting, and controlling across the group.
  • Complete and further develop group reporting; ensure relevant financial data is accessible in one place.
  • Set shared standards and procedures, especially for consolidation and accounting reporting.
  • Identify differences, risks, and improvement opportunities across companies.
  • Direct people leadership and development in finance, aligned with each company’s setup.
  • Deeply understand the main company’s business and economics and actively maximize its financial potential.
  • Participate in selected group M&A projects, including financial due diligence and evaluation of acquisition potential; support integration as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Experience as CFO, Finance Director, or fractional/interim CFO.
  • Experience with finance across multiple firms/entities.
  • Very strong knowledge of Czech accounting, reporting, cash flow, and controlling.
  • Experience setting up or harmonizing financial processes across multiple companies.
  • Experience with consolidation and annual financial statements.
  • Ability to work with financial data, models, and reporting tools.
  • Experience leading and developing finance teams.
  • Very strong Excel skills.
  • Fluency in Czech or Slovak.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Natural authority and ability to enforce shared standards without excessive bureaucracy.
  • Systematic thinking, pragmatism, and business-oriented mindset; ability to balance detailed operations with group-level perspective.
