Description

You will build and operate backend services that collect, reconcile, certify, and serve business context from multiple existing systems. The role includes evolving certification and versioning workflows so teams can trust shared metric and data definitions, and exposing APIs and MCP integrations for AI agents and BI tools. You will own reliability and data consistency while partnering closely with product to influence foundational architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services that collect and reconcile business context into a governed Context Studio
• Build and evolve certification and versioning workflows for trusted metric and definition governance
• Contribute to APIs and MCP-based integrations for querying certified context
• Own reliability and data consistency for services merging and reconciling multiple sources
• Partner with product on what gets built; take on full-stack work when it best unblocks value
• Provide timely, considerate reviews of peers’ pull requests and design proposals
• Work cross-functionally with teams building AI-powered capabilities

Requirements

• Strong Java software development experience
• Experience designing, building, and operating distributed backend services in production
• Experience designing and operating REST APIs
• Experience modeling and serving graph-structured or richly-relational data
• Experience integrating LLMs into backend systems (structured extraction, enrichment, or correctness evaluation)
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces where architecture is still being defined
• Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools in production with guardrails for quality and correctness
• Demonstrated software engineering best practices
