Description

You will help the R&D team create and improve the testing process from the ground up. The role includes manual and exploratory testing of new functionality, building and enhancing automated tests for a project that currently lacks automation, and integrating tests into CI/CD. You will also collaborate with developers to identify and prioritize quality risks in existing code.

Responsibilities

• Test desktop applications (WinForms and WPF) and/or mobile apps (Xamarin/MAUI)

• Propose, design, implement, and improve automated tests for an R&D project without existing automation

• Integrate testing into the CI/CD process

• Prepare test scenarios and test cases

• Perform exploratory testing of new features in a rapidly changing R&D environment

• Report bugs and collaborate with the development and consulting teams

• Identify and prioritize quality risks in existing code

• Mentor developers on unit testing

• Perform manual testing

Requirements

• Experience in software testing

• Experience building a test process from scratch (preferred if previously done) rather than using an existing framework

• Flexibility to change

• Knowledge of fundamental testing methods and tools

• Analytical thinking and thoroughness

• Independence and initiative; high autonomy and responsibility

• Basic knowledge of C#

• Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server

• English proficiency to read technical documentation and communicate

• Ability to communicate with developers and “sell” testing ideas

Nice to have

• Experience with R&D projects (incomplete documentation, changing requirements)

• ISTQB certificate

• Experience testing prototypes
