Description

Lead troubleshooting and debugging across HPC and Cabin ZCU platforms in a multi-domain, cross-functional team focused on vehicle software validation and quality assurance. You will reproduce and debug issues during bench, HIL/ViL, vehicle, and program-validation activities, perform initial root-cause analysis and triage, and support fixes through reflash/update workflows. You will document root causes and coordinate corrective actions and release strategies with specialists and domain teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system stability and functionality through rigorous validation processes

  • Reproduce and debug software issues during bench, HIL/ViL, vehicle, and program-validation activities; perform initial root-cause analysis and triage

  • Integrate software components from internal teams and external vendors; run sanity and smoke tests to ensure build stability

  • Reflash builds, execute updates, assist with FOTA investigations, and implement small configuration changes to validate hypotheses

  • Own and coordinate issue resolution with specialists and domain teams; align on corrective actions and release strategies

  • Document root causes, workarounds, and next steps; communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Maintain and adapt validation setups, including minor bench wiring or hardware modifications to isolate issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software debugging, platform integration, system validation, or root cause analysis

  • Strong understanding of automotive E&E architecture, vehicle subsystem interactions, and HPC software architectures

  • Hands-on experience with system-level debugging, issue reproduction, root cause analysis, and technical triage

  • Practical experience with hypervisor-based platforms and proficiency in QNX and Linux/Android

  • Familiarity with bootloaders (U-Boot, ABL) and debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, Lauterbach, GDB)

  • Knowledge of software flashing, updates, and FOTA concepts

  • Familiarity with diagnostics and communication protocols (UDS, DoIP, OBD-II, CAN, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder updates

  • Experience with benches, HIL/VHIL environments, and/or vehicle testing

  • Willingness to work onsite in Turin and travel occasionally (10–20%)
