Description

Lead platform validation and debug activities by architecting and developing end-to-end validation strategies from post-silicon environments through platform bring-up, characterization, and production deployment. Work across architecture, hardware, firmware, security, manufacturing, performance engineering, and cloud infrastructure teams to influence requirements and readiness, and drive resolution of complex reliability, availability, and performance issues. Develop automation and tooling for server validation and champion engineering excellence through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end validation strategies to identify hardware, firmware, and system-level reliability issues early
• Partner cross-functionally to influence platform requirements and readiness
• Drive execution across multiple programs with both deep technical contribution and broad organizational impact
• Develop automation and tooling for server validation
• Use data-driven decisions, technical reviews, risk management, and continuous improvement to strengthen qualification processes
• Lead cross-functional investigations across hardware, firmware, OS, drivers, and cloud services to identify root causes and corrective actions
• Resolve complex platform issues impacting Azure availability, performance, and reliability
• Influence component and platform architecture decisions with engineering, silicon, firmware, OS, and service teams
• Stay current with AI trends and apply solutions that improve availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance at scale

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 3+ years technical engineering experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience programming in Python or PowerShell (or similar) for automation development or integration
• 3+ years of experience with hardware/firmware/OS interfaces and interdependencies, CPU/GPU architectures, and system design concepts
• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check and re-screening every two years
