Description

Provide technical support and reliability data analysis for aircraft braking system products from entry-into-service through end-of-life. Lead design improvements, root-cause corrective action investigations, troubleshooting tool development, and coordination with offshore teams using detailed teardown reports and applicable component maintenance manual (CMM) references. Interface with internal engineering, quality, and maintenance/repair stakeholders to resolve product deficiencies and support aftermarket NPI gate reviews and milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical issues for customers from entry-into-service through end-of-life, supporting the customer feedback process

  • Perform design improvements with minimal supervision, including product design changes and root-cause corrective actions

  • Coordinate offshore data mining of detailed tear-down reports to establish failure causes

  • Organize, interpret, and report results with little guidance; produce final reports approved for technical judgment and accuracy

  • Use the applicable CMM and other service documentation (e.g., Service Bulletins/Service letters)

  • Direct updates to CMMs for in-service aircraft model programs

  • Represent Technical Support (aftermarket) in NPI process preparations for gate reviews and aftermarket milestones

  • Coordinate across engineering, quality assurance, program/projects, and MRO repair stations

  • Interface with field support engineering and customer support engineering within a global customer support network

  • Focus on data supporting root cause of braking system issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 10 years of experience as a Reliability Engineer or related role

  • Experience with braking system components (wheels, brakes, valves, sensors, electromechanical actuators) and their failure modes

  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, MS Project, MS Power BI, MS SharePoint

  • Experience coordinating offshore team members and contractors

  • Experience with CMMs and service documentation for in-service aircraft model programs

  • Experience performing FRACA (Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action) and deep dive root-cause analysis on braking systems
