Description

You will own strategic, technically relevant topics within the SAP S/4HANA Utilities landscape, defining target architectures, technical standards, and governance. You will evaluate and approve complex solution approaches affecting cross-domain business processes, support implementation for highly challenging cases, and drive cross-domain initiatives via virtual expert teams. You will also develop and integrate strategies for regulatory requirements and identify/prioritize critical technical risks, providing decision inputs for management while advising on technical recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Overall functional responsibility for strategically relevant SAP S/4HANA Utilities topics
  • Define technical guardrails, standards, and target architectures for multiple products and process domains
  • Develop, assess, and approve complex solution concepts; actively support implementation for technically and functionally challenging issues
  • Drive sustainable evolution of the SAP Utilities architecture in alignment with Enterprise Architecture and management
  • Steer domain-spanning initiatives and lead virtual expert teams functionally
  • Develop implementation strategies for regulatory requirements and ensure their group-wide integration
  • Analyze and prioritize business-critical technical risks
  • Create decision material for management bodies and represent technical recommendations at management level
  • Identify and assess new technologies, automation, and AI potential; derive strategic action areas

Requirements

  • Long-term experience as technical expert or Lead Architect in the SAP Utilities environment and complex system landscapes
  • Proven experience in functional leadership of complex transformation or digitalization programs
  • Recognized functional and technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA Utilities; ability to support teams hands-on on complex details and jointly develop robust solutions
  • Experience defining target architectures, technical standards, and governance structures
  • Strong ability to prepare strategic decisions and advise stakeholders at management level
  • Very good understanding of energy-industry market processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external partners without disciplinary responsibility
  • High decisiveness and ability to enforce outcomes within complex organizational structures
  • Fluent German and very good English (at least B2)
  • Experience working with international teams
