Description

Support customers in moving from fragmented system landscapes to connected retail processes across stores, e-commerce, and supply chains using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. Lead solution conception and optimization for end-to-end retail flows, translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions, and guide testing, go-live, and rollouts. Work closely with retail, e-commerce, and supply chain stakeholders and help grow retail ERP and Industry Cloud expertise through mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize end-to-end retail processes (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory, Store Logistics) with a focus on order management, basket sourcing, omnichannel pricing, and POS integration

• Drive ERP transformations using a strong fit-to-standard approach with emphasis on simplicity and scalability

• Run workshops with stakeholders from Retail, E-Commerce, and Supply Chain to analyze requirements and challenge existing processes

• Translate business requirements into structured, scalable SAP solutions; configure in S/4HANA Cloud and integrate with the SAP Industry Cloud portfolio

• Support testing, go-live, and rollouts; ensure high quality and strong user adoption

• Advise customers on using ERP as a strategic enabler for modern retail business models

• Support and mentor junior consultants and actively contribute to building Retail ERP and Industry Cloud competencies

• Keep learning about SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, retail trends, and ERP transformation best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an SAP Consultant, ideally in Retail or customer-facing industries

• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, ideally with Cloud/Public Edition

• Very good understanding of retail business processes, especially S/4HANA Sales (formerly Sales & Distribution / SD) and S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (formerly Materials Management / MM)

• Experience in ERP transformation projects (e.g., S/4HANA implementations or migrations)

• Strong understanding of end-to-end processes instead of isolated modules

• Experience leading workshops and close collaboration with business stakeholders

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in German (at least C1) and English (at least B2)

• Ability to work independently and within an agile, cross-functional team

• Advantage: experience with omnichannel setups, retail-specific topics such as pricing, promotions, or assortment management; initial mentoring or leadership experience for small teams
