Description

Serve as a bridge between technical infrastructure topics and information security requirements. Contribute to security governance and to practical standards and implementation aids for federated Helmholtz IT services.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise from providing digital services to other research areas within Helmholtz Federated IT Services (HIFIS).

• Develop practice-ready standards and implementation support with other Helmholtz centers.

• Strengthen the cyber resilience of federated research IT.

• Mediation between technical teams and information security at GFZ and across the Helmholtz community.

• Work in close alignment with the GFZ Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Requirements

• Technical understanding and experience in information security.

• Ability to translate between technical level and information security.

• Knowledge of security governance.

• Experience or competence in networking, Identity and Access Management, and IT security.

• Interest in architectural classification beyond technological depth.
