• Role: Cyber Security Specialist (SOC / IT Security L2 path)

Description

You’ll be the first line for detecting suspicious events in a SOC environment. The role focuses on monitoring security alerts, performing triage and initial analysis, documenting findings, and escalating relevant cases to L2. You’ll also contribute to improving detection rules and security monitoring through feedback and automation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts in a SOC environment; triage and prioritize

• Perform initial analysis by verifying context in logs, evaluating false positives, and identifying real threats

• Write short, clear summaries of findings (what happened, why, and recommendations)

• Escalate relevant cases to the L2 team in line with procedures (e.g., Sentinel Incident ID and JIRA links)

• Continuously document procedures and results in ticketing tools

• Help improve detection rules and automation; increase alert accuracy

• Communicate with other IT teams when required by the situation

Requirements

• Basic orientation in IT and cybersecurity: logs, alerts, incidents; understanding of SOC and SIEM

• Analytical thinking to decide whether an alert is noise/false positive or a real threat

• Carefulness and reliability, including the ability to document every step

• Interest in learning and building experience in L2, Threat Hunting, or SOC Engineering

• Ability to describe technical findings clearly and concisely

• Teamwork and the ability to communicate across IT
