Description

You will evaluate cyber security events and incidents as the first line of defense and actively perform threat hunting to identify weaknesses. You will help develop SOC detection and monitoring by testing and tuning detection tools, preparing measures based on their outputs, and advising security monitoring projects. The role also includes adversary emulation in a testing environment and hands-on training using a dedicated testing lab.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cyber security events and incidents (first-line defense)

• Perform threat hunting

• Contribute to SOC development activities (your ideas will have real impact)

• Test detection tool configurations and prepare measures based on outputs

• Consult security monitoring projects from a monitoring perspective

• Participate in testing new technologies and tools

• Actively contribute to improving the organization’s overall security

Requirements

• Passion for cybersecurity and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Knowledge of log, SIEM, SOC, CTI, and Cloud concepts; experience with tools such as IBM QRadar or Microsoft Sentinel

• IT experience (e.g., system or network administration) or at least basic knowledge of networks and IT systems

• Ability to use at least one operating system better than a typical end user

• Willingness to obtain a security clearance in the future
