Description

Senior Data Analyst to support building a Data Lakehouse ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role combines analytical and business expertise with data management—exploring and profiling data in BigQuery, translating business needs into technical specifications, and supporting data governance and migrations. You will also help ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (RODO, KNF, DORA).

Responsibilities

• Explore, profile, and analyze data in BigQuery using advanced SQL

• Perform ad-hoc data exploration and analysis with Python (pandas, numpy)

• Design analytical data models in cooperation with the Data Engineering team

• Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation, transformation rules, and data flow diagrams

• Collect, analyze, and document business requirements; convert them into technical specifications

• Define data quality rules and analyze anomalies in source data

• Support migration of reports and business logic from legacy systems to the new data platform

• Collaborate with domain teams to define data products within a data mesh model

• Support Data Governance activities, including development of business glossary and data catalog

• Ensure solutions comply with regulatory requirements (RODO, KNF, DORA)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst

• Experience analyzing and documenting business requirements and preparing specifications for Data Engineering teams

• Experience mapping data between source systems and data warehouse layers

• Ability to independently explore data and formulate business conclusions

• Ability to work with business, data engineers, Data Scientists, and stakeholders at multiple levels

• Advanced SQL (analytic queries, window functions, CTE, aggregations, data profiling and validation, query optimization)

• Practical experience with BigQuery

• Very good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, work on large datasets)

• Knowledge of data modeling (3NF, dimensional modeling/Kimball, Data Vault)

• Experience with business analysis, user stories, functional specifications, and process documentation

• Experience creating source-to-target mapping documentation and defining data transformation rules

• Ability to analyze data quality, detect anomalies, and define data quality rules

• Experience creating professional business documentation

• Fluent Polish
