Description

Design, develop, and maintain modern data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. Build and evolve Data Lake and Lakehouse solutions for analytics and Machine Learning use cases, and create Data Warehouse models using cloud MPP processing (preferably BigQuery). Implement streaming and CDC-based processing pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in GCP
  • Build and improve Data Lake and Lakehouse platforms supporting analytics and ML
  • Create high-performance streaming and CDC data processing solutions
  • Design and develop Data Warehouse solutions and data models for business analytics
  • Troubleshoot complex data processing issues and deliver solutions for business decisions
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, business analysts, data architects, and Product Owners on global initiatives
  • Apply data engineering best practices and participate in evaluating and implementing new tools/technologies
  • Mentor less experienced team members and share Data Engineering standards
  • Ensure quality, performance, and stability via analysis, testing, and maintenance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer or Data Engineer
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Very strong SQL
  • Programming experience in Python or Scala
  • Practical experience with: BigQuery, Datastream, Dataproc, DataPlex, Dataform
  • Experience building and maintaining Data Lake/Lakehouse
  • Experience building Data Warehouse solutions using cloud MPP engines (preferred BigQuery)
  • Experience with streaming processing and CDC pipelines
  • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, Data Governance, and reporting
  • Experience with relational, NoSQL, and cloud databases
  • Good Linux knowledge
  • Experience working in Agile teams
  • English: minimum B2 (preferred C1)
