Description

You will help customers plan, implement, and evolve OpenStack-based environments. The role includes designing and building modern Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions with OpenStack, integrating OpenStack into existing IT landscapes, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security. You will also automate operations and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and continuously improve OpenStack environments

• Design and build OpenStack-based Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions

• Integrate OpenStack with existing systems and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Ceph, Terraform, Ansible)

• Analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security

• Automate operations and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code approaches

• Deliver orchestration and automation projects in complex customer environments

• Support architecture decisions for cloud computing, virtualization, and container technologies

• Create technical concepts, documentation, and best practices

• Transfer knowledge via workshops and technical consulting for customers and colleagues

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable IT education

• Multi-year experience in OpenStack engineering/consulting or related cloud/Linux systems roles

• Experience operating and administering OpenStack platforms

• Strong Linux skills (Ubuntu, RHEL, or CentOS)

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM

• Knowledge of storage solutions (Ceph, Swift, or Cinder)

• Practical automation experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar IaC tools

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies

• Knowledge of modern networking technologies (SDN, Neutron, VXLAN, or overlay networks)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring/observability solutions

• Analytical, customer-focused, structured working style

• German and English skills at least B2
