Description

Own the end-to-end safety compliance lifecycle for AWS hardware—from early-stage design engagement through final certification—across markets worldwide. You will act as the technical authority on safety standards for control panels, low-voltage switchgear, and ICT equipment, partnering with product development teams, ODM design partners, test agencies, and legal stakeholders to deliver compliant products on tight timelines. The role emphasizes first-time test pass outcomes, risk-driven design feedback, and building scalable compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Own safety compliance strategy for NPI and sustaining programs; identify applicable global requirements and drive execution through certification

• Participate in design reviews to identify safety risks, recommend design modifications, and support first-time pass testing

• Serve as the primary technical interface with NRTLs and Notified Bodies; manage test plans, resolve findings, and secure timely approvals

• Perform root cause analysis with ODMs, define corrective actions, and implement preventative measures

• Build and maintain scalable compliance framework (templates, checklists, process documentation)

• Develop and track metrics for certification pipeline health, cycle times, and risk areas; communicate status to leadership

• Monitor evolving global safety regulations and assess impact to the product roadmap

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

• Experience understanding electrical and mechanical systems used in critical data center operations

• 4+ years of progressive experience supporting NPI/NPD design related to product compliance

• Experience with international certification
