Description

Drive assigned manufacturing workstreams for cloud hardware platforms, independently coordinating NPI builds and production ramp activities from engineering validation through scale. Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to triage manufacturing issues, mitigate production risks, and improve yield and manufacturing readiness. Use manufacturing data, quality systems, and structured problem-solving to detect defects early and implement corrective actions and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in DFM/DFA and design for manufacturing reviews (testability, serviceability, packaging, automation, sustainability) and identify manufacturing constraints.
• Independently execute NPI build execution and capacity readiness: coordinate engineering validation, design validation, production validation, and ramp builds across engineering teams and contract manufacturing sites.
• Assess equipment, tooling, fixtures, test coverage, staffing assumptions, material availability, and line capacity; escalate gaps and drive recovery actions.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to assess manufacturing capability, qualification, compliance, capacity, and sub-tier risks; track corrective actions and support supply continuity.
• Perform supplier process qualification and readiness assessments, including process audits, PPAP, fixture/tooling acceptance, incoming-quality criteria, and control-plan reviews.
• Apply statistical process control, process capability analysis, control plans, inspection data, and yield analytics to reduce variation and improve defect detection.
• Lead structured L1/L2 triage and root-cause analysis using methods like 8D, fishbone, 5-Why, and PFMEA; implement and verify corrective actions.
• Analyze manufacturing data (yield, defects, cycle-time, issue aging, equipment/process trends) and translate findings into recommendations and improvements.
• Maintain manufacturing risk registers and drive closure of risks (PFMEA, NUDD, qualification, yield, tooling, material, schedule, supplier readiness).
• Maintain dashboards for build readiness, yield, defects, risk closure, and supplier performance; communicate status, risks, and lessons learned.
