Description

You will design and develop high-throughput, concurrent services in Go and Async Python for real-time processing of large data volumes. The work includes network telemetry integrations (L2/L3/L4 protocols, IPFIX/NetFlow/sFlow) and automating network devices, plus performance optimization (profiling, memory/GC reduction, zero-copy paths). You will also build data schemas and pipelines with Protocol Buffers, Kafka, and ClickHouse, and package/deploy services using Linux containers and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, concurrent services in Go and Async Python

• Create architectures for real-time, high-throughput processing (decode loops)

• Build and maintain network integrations using L2/L3/L4 protocols and telemetry (IPFIX, NetFlow, sFlow)

• Automate network devices via vendor tooling (SSH/CLI and APIs)

• Optimize system performance (profiling, memory allocation, reduce GC pressure, zero-copy paths)

• Design data schemas and transfers using Protocol Buffers, Kafka, and ClickHouse (columnar/wide-table)

• Implement packaging and deployment: containerization, static images, deb/rpm packages; manage lifecycle in Linux and Kubernetes

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Go (concurrency, UDP/TCP servers, pprof)

• Strong proficiency in Async Python (asyncio internals: event loop, tasks, cancellation, backpressure, worker pools)

• High code quality: static typing (mypy, golangci-lint), pre-commit gates, async unit tests, CI load tests, dependency hygiene and CVE awareness

• Knowledge of L2/L3/L4 headers and networking semantics (VLAN, MAC/IP, TCP flags, MTU/fragmentation, IPv4/IPv6)

• Experience with IPFIX (RFC 7011), NetFlow v5/v9, sFlow v5

• Ability to analyze and craft packets and use pcap for debugging

• Experience automating network devices via SSH/CLI and vendor APIs

• Protobuf for schema design, evolution, and code generation; fast JSON/binary codecs for hot paths

• Apache Kafka expertise: partitioning, acks, batching, compression, diagnosing lag, SASL/Kerberos

• Basic experience with time-series/columnar databases such as ClickHouse

• Performance engineering: continuous profiling, optimizing data structures (e.g., LPM/Patricia tries, LRU caches, fast hashing)

• Linux internals: sockets, epoll, sysctl tuning for high packet throughput, cgroups

• Docker/Kubernetes practice: multi-stage builds, manifests; automated rollbacks and upgrades

• IPC patterns (ZeroMQ or equivalent) and distributed state design (cache/state-sync, eventual consistency, idempotent replay)
