Description

The Network Security Engineer L3 provides advanced, professional remote technical support to clients by identifying and resolving network/security incidents and problems. You will drive incidents to effective resolution, monitor service delivery against SLAs, and ensure accurate documentation and knowledge management. The role focuses on pre-emptive incident resolution and maintaining secure, up-to-date configurations for configuration items (CIs).

Responsibilities

• Handle support requests according to procedures and resolve problems using agreed processes.
• Perform maintenance tasks and use knowledge articles to diagnose and resolve incidents.
• Monitor service delivery vs. SLAs, analyze service records, and initiate or report actions to maintain/improve service levels.
• Prioritize, diagnose, investigate, and escalate incidents; perform service recovery after resolution.
• Document and close incidents following agreed procedures.
• Maintain secure, accurate, complete, and current CI configurations; track/log/correct CI changes to protect assets.
• Remotely investigate root causes and assist with implementing remedies and preventative measures.
• Maintain knowledge in specialisms and provide detailed guidance on their application.
• Coordinate repairs via product requests and collaborate with other teams to ensure full incident resolution.
• Provide feedback to clients and update relevant systems/portals/ticketing tools per SOPs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (client IT, vendors, carriers, internal teams) to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
• Create and update knowledge articles; upgrade skills and complete required certifications.

Requirements

• Fluent English (mandatory) and Dutch (B2+ mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, Computing, or related field.
• Professional networking/security certification (e.g., CCNP, JNCIS, ACCP, PCNSE, CCSE).
• Seasoned experience with security technologies such as Firewall, IPS, IDS, and Proxy.
• Seasoned experience in technical support to clients, including remote support.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
• Seasoned experience in relevant security/network technology domains.
