Description

You will develop and maintain a large-scale business web application using Python and Django. The role focuses on building new features, maintaining code quality and architecture, and working with PostgreSQL, automated tests, and constructive code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Python/Django-based backend application
• Design and implement new functionality
• Co-own code quality, architecture, and solution consistency
• Model and optimize PostgreSQL database queries
• Perform code reviews and provide/receive constructive feedback
• Write automated tests and support manual testing
• Analyze technical issues and propose solutions
• Collaborate with Deployment and Support to fulfill customer needs
• Participate actively in team meetings and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Several years of backend development experience in Python
• Proficiency in Django (ORM, models, views, migrations)
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write/optimize queries in PostgreSQL
• Focus on code quality, readability, and maintainability
• Ability to explain why a solution works (or doesn’t)
• Experience with Git
• Ability to search for solutions independently and to acknowledge unknowns
• Ability to read and use English documentation
• Ability to work onsite or hybrid in Gdańsk (remote during trial period allowed)
