Description

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services for customer communications. The role includes analyzing business requirements, proposing technical solutions, and supporting the full product lifecycle from analysis and design through implementation, deployment, and maintenance. You will also ensure production readiness through monitoring, incident resolution, automated tests, code reviews, and collaboration with both technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of backend software development experience
• Strong production experience with at least one modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust)
• Willingness to work in Go and learn it (prior Go experience not required)
• Experience with production systems (deployment, monitoring, maintenance, incident troubleshooting)
• Practical system design skills and awareness of scalability vs. reliability tradeoffs
• Ability to analyze systems, components, and data flow
• Understanding of system interdependencies and their impact
• Experience with relevant business domains from prior projects
• Experience writing automated tests
• Ability to communicate with business and technical stakeholders
• Independence, accountability, and good organization
• Clear written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Go backend services
• Analyze business requirements and propose technical solutions
• Participate in the full product lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, deployment, maintenance)
• Analyze systems/components/data flow and assess impact of changes
• Design architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain production systems; resolve incidents
• Write automated tests and maintain code quality
• Perform code review and share best practices
• Mentor less experienced team members
• Identify project risks early and communicate them to the team and stakeholders
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
• Prioritize tasks for yourself and the team
• Document changes, features, and work progress
• Contribute to technical initiatives
