Description

Lead AI-native product design efforts across vision setting, AI incubation, craft & systems, and end-to-end product quality. Translate ambiguous problems into concrete outcomes, facilitate cross-functional alignment, and drive high craft and quality standards. Use AI-powered prototyping tools to validate direction quickly while partnering closely with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Flex across Vision Setting, AI Incubation, Craft & Systems, and End-to-End Product Quality based on where the studio needs help most
• Take ideas from ambiguous or nothing to something concrete and good, independently and fast
• Facilitate: bring designers, PMs, and engineers into the problem, build shared ownership, and keep initiatives moving without needing a manager for handoffs
• Drive AI Incubation projects end to end when needed, shaping fast-moving 0-to-1 efforts into real product
• Maintain and raise craft bar in whichever area you operate; mentor mid-level designers and unblock unresolved ambiguity
• Partner with engineering to shape better solutions within technical constraints
• Represent the studio’s point of view in cross-functional and platform-level conversations, translating design direction for product and engineering leaders
• Use AI-powered prototyping tools to move from concept to validated direction
• Advocate for higher craft and quality standards across the studio

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on product design experience in enterprise, platform, or complex B2B products, with range across multiple problem spaces
• Track record driving ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives to outcomes
• Comfort operating at the intersection of design, product, and engineering with emotional intelligence in high-pressure collaboration
• Deep, hands-on fluency with AI as a design material and AI-native product behavior and experience design
• Strong facilitation instincts to build alignment and forward motion without formal authority
• Bias toward fast, iterative validation over polished-but-slow execution, including fluency with AI-powered design and prototyping tools
• Demonstrated mentorship of other designers, with judgment on when to unblock vs. build capability
• Excellent executive communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related field
• Portfolio showing range across problem types and evidence of facilitation and cross-functional leadership
