Description

The Lead Data Scientist independently applies advanced data science and AI techniques to solve complex problems that drive meaningful business outcomes. The role focuses on developing innovative methodologies and scalable, structured frameworks for ambiguous challenges, identifying patterns and trends, and providing technical mentorship. You will also support and maintain production-scale DS/AI systems with a recent focus on generative AI (GenAI), including scaling, monitoring, and maintaining these systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced Data Science and AI techniques to complex business problems
• Develop scalable methodologies, solutions, and structured frameworks
• Interpret internal business issues and recommend solutions aligned to business goals
• Identify patterns and trends and propose actionable solutions for immediate and long-term needs
• Plan and execute projects with substantial independence
• Collaborate cross-team to align with organizational priorities and strategy
• Communicate technical concepts and insights clearly using data-driven storytelling

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• 4–7 years of professional experience with demonstrated ability to deliver impactful projects
• Advanced knowledge in a specialization with understanding of cross-disciplinary concepts and emerging trends
• Deep knowledge and practical experience with production-scale DS/AI systems with recent focus on generative AI (GenAI)
• Understanding of complex GenAI architectures and experience with scaling, monitoring, and maintaining these systems
• Experience supporting DS/AI systems across the MLOps/LLM Ops lifecycle at enterprise scale
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills
• Strong experience with Python (7+ years)

Benefits

• Competitive pay range: $140,000–$190,000 annually
