Description

You will test and support the certification of next-generation industrial routers and communication technologies before they are released to global markets. The role includes development and qualification testing in-house and with partner/certification laboratories, covering EMC, environmental, stress, and wired/wireless communication measurements. You will collaborate closely with hardware, software, and development engineers to troubleshoot issues during testing.

Responsibilities

• Test industrial routers in your own laboratory and in partner laboratories and certification agent laboratories
• Prepare and perform development tests agreed with development engineers
• Prepare and perform tests according to regional and international standards and regulations
• Perform EMC measurements, load/stress tests, environmental/climate tests, and measurements of wired and wireless communication interfaces
• Operationally resolve problems that arise during testing
• Assist during measurements and testing in accredited laboratories when needed, including occasional business travel (mainly within the Czech Republic)
• Work as part of a team with other test engineers, electronics and software engineers, and other disciplines

Requirements

• Strong electronics knowledge (electrical engineering education required)
• Basic understanding of computer networks
• Intermediate English skills for reading specifications and writing measurement records (mostly via email)
