Test & Measurement Systems Engineer

Mid • Hybrid

55,000 - 90,000 CZK/yr

Quick Facts

  • Role: Test & Measurement Systems Engineer (hardware-focused)
  • Focus: Automated measurement and control systems design and realization for test equipment (primarily automotive)

Description

You will help design hardware solutions for automated test and measurement systems—taking projects from initial customer requirements through implementation. The role covers defining the technical approach (test points and connectivity), building the optimal measurement hardware architecture (e.g., PXI/cDAQ/Keysight or alternatives), and handling switching and VPC wiring, including custom PCB work when needed. You will also support project realization by coordinating with hardware suppliers and electrical engineering and by validating concepts with practical measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications and separate items related to software from hardware/System Engineering work
  • Propose technical solutions: determine required test points and the calling/contact approach
  • Decide which parts will be built internally versus outsourced
  • Design hardware architecture and select measurement components; estimate required channels and measurement cards
  • Design switching and wiring to the VPC; adapt to existing customer platforms or build from scratch
  • Propose custom PCB solutions when required
  • Document results and collaborate with Sales on the final offer; consult colleagues/vendors for technologies outside your core domain (e.g., lasers, cameras, leak tightness)
  • During realization, serve as the liaison to hardware suppliers and ensure fixtures have enough space for all components
  • Work closely with electrical engineering to define channel connections (pin → switching → measurement card)
  • Validate ideas in practice by running measurements and performing preliminary checks

Requirements

  • Technical and analytical thinking
  • Orientation in measurement hardware (PXI, cDAQ, Keysight DAQ, Pickering) and/or knowledge of VPC interfaces, switching, and PCB topics
  • Ability to communicate with customers, internal developers, and external hardware suppliers
  • Willingness to learn new technologies (training and onboarding provided)

Benefits

  • Flexible working hours
  • Training and certification support
  • Company allowance / mobile phone
  • Multisport card
  • Pension contribution
  • Meal allowance
  • One additional week of vacation
  • Salary increases after 1 year; monthly buddy meetings
  • Monthly breakfasts and company events
  • Additional perks (celebrations, BBQs, culinary competitions, team quizzes)
  • Electrical debugging included (not only desk work)
  • Opportunity to work under HPP or IČO arrangements
