Description

You will lead selected operational stability and resilience projects and initiatives from planning through execution, aligned to programme priorities set by the Programme Manager. The role includes translating programme objectives into project plans, coordinating cross-domain delivery, and supporting programme governance through decision materials, reporting cycles, RAID management, and action tracking. You will drive initiatives that prevent service disruptions, improve incident detection, speed up service restoration, and remediate structural causes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational stability and resilience projects end-to-end (planning to execution and implementation)

  • Support the Programme Manager with a consolidated programme view (objectives, ownership, milestones, funding, risks, dependencies, outcomes)

  • Translate programme priorities into project plans, milestones, deliverables, and measurable success criteria

  • Coordinate delivery across incident prevention, monitoring/observability, problem management, service recovery, automation, and application resilience

  • Drive alignment across technology, service management, and business teams

  • Support governance: prepare decision materials, coordinate reporting and meetings, and follow up actions, decisions, and escalations

  • Produce outcome-based reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and benefits

  • Identify cross-initiative dependencies, gaps, and overlaps; support prioritisation and resolution across boundaries

  • Manage scope, plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies

  • Maintain programme management artefacts (integrated plans, RAID, decision logs, action tracking, delivery dashboards)

  • Ensure root-cause analysis and incident trends lead to actionable remediation and measurable stability improvements

  • Ensure delivery complies with enterprise architecture, security, regulatory, resilience, and operational requirements

  • Proactively manage obstacles and escalations; enable timely decisions with the Programme Manager

  • Promote a delivery culture focused on ownership, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven track record leading complex technology projects and strategic initiatives in large organisations

  • Experience supporting multi-workstream programmes with integrated planning and governance coordination

  • Strong experience in operational stability, service reliability, operational resilience, or enterprise technology transformation

  • Experience coordinating delivery across technology, service management, and business domains

  • Strong understanding of incident, problem, and change management; monitoring and observability; service recovery; and root-cause remediation

  • Ability to translate programme priorities and operational trends into executable project plans with measurable outcomes

  • Experience preparing high-quality materials for governance forums, steering committees, and senior stakeholders

  • Experience managing complex dependencies, risks, issues, delivery commitments, budgets, and resources

  • Strong stakeholder influence and ability to drive alignment across organisational units and technology domains

  • Experience defining and tracking outcome-based metrics, benefits, and performance indicators

  • Understanding of technology resilience, application reliability, operational readiness, security, and regulatory requirements

  • Proactive identification of delivery risks and ability to resolve impediments in complex environments

  • Very good financial and resource management skills

  • Very good analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Advanced presentation skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent English skills (spoken and written)

  • Can-do attitude
