Lead Project Leader (Google Cloud AI Transformation)

Description

Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic AI and cloud transformation programmes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including governance, roadmaps, and value realisation. Coordinate dependencies across cloud foundations, security, identity and access management, network, data, architecture, and engineering to deliver shared and reusable AI platform capabilities. Shape the AI platform roadmap and translate strategic AI ambitions into executable delivery plans with measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCP AI and cloud transformation programmes from ideation and planning through implementation and value realisation
• Execute Google Cloud and AI platform roadmaps aligned to architecture direction and delivery plans
• Coordinate cross-domain dependencies across architecture, cloud engineering, security/IAM, network, data, platform, and business teams
• Shape and maintain programme plans, milestones, budgets, resource allocation, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Establish programme governance, decision forums, and reporting for senior stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, regulatory, resilience, and operational requirements
• Support development of a sustainable cloud operating model (platform ownership, service management, cost transparency, operational readiness)
• Proactively resolve escalations and remove delivery obstacles across organisational boundaries
• Promote a delivery culture based on ownership, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven track record leading large-scale technology programmes and strategic transformation in cloud, data, or AI environments
• Strong experience driving delivery and governance of Google Cloud Platform initiatives across multiple technology domains
• Deep understanding of GCP services, cloud foundations, platform engineering, and cloud operating model principles
• Experience establishing and evolving enterprise cloud and AI platform capabilities for scalable AI adoption
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic workflows, and AI orchestration frameworks
• Ability to define strategic roadmaps and convert them into executable delivery plans aligned to organisational priorities
• Experience coordinating complex dependency landscapes across architecture, cloud engineering, security/IAM, network, data, and business teams
• Strong programme governance and leadership skills (decision forums, steering committees, executive reporting)
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-unit and cross-domain alignment
• Understanding of platform-oriented delivery models (shared services, reusable capabilities, automated onboarding, self-service enablement)
• Understanding of cloud security, resilience, scalability, operational readiness, and cloud financial management
• Proactive risk identification and impediment resolution in complex environments
• Very good financial and resource management skills; strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Advanced presentation skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills
