Description

You will lead end-to-end delivery of AWS AI platform initiatives—from scope and planning through implementation, operational readiness, and handover. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across AWS cloud foundations, AI platform capabilities, security, identity and access management, network, and data, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and operational needs. You will translate strategic AI and cloud ambitions into executable programmes and deliver decision-oriented reporting to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS AI platform initiatives (scope definition, planning, implementation, operational readiness, and handover)

• Establish delivery plans with milestones, dependencies, resources, financials, risks, and expected outcomes

• Coordinate delivery across cloud engineering, architecture, security, identity and access management, network, data, platform engineering, and business teams

• Drive evolution of AWS cloud foundations for scalable AI adoption (landing-zone capabilities, deployment pipelines, runtime environments, connectivity, platform resilience)

• Enable reusable AWS AI services and platform components to support multiple AI use cases

• Ensure alignment between business needs, AI use cases, platform capabilities, enterprise architecture, and technology roadmaps

• Facilitate governance and approval processes aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and delivery framework

• Define decision forums, delivery standards, operating models, and reporting practices

• Proactively manage risks, issues, and cross-domain dependencies; escalate when required

• Drive operational readiness (support models, service ownership, resilience, security, cost management, transition to operations)

• Provide concise updates to senior stakeholders on status, risks, financials, and required actions

• Promote a delivery culture of ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven track record leading complex technology programmes in AWS Cloud environments

• Strong AWS platform governance and cloud operating model experience, including landing-zone implementation

• Ability to scope, drive, and govern AWS AI platform initiatives with reusable capabilities for scalable AI adoption

• Experience delivering AWS-native AI, machine learning, and data services

• Strong understanding of AI enablement platforms (Generative AI, large language models, agentic/orchestration frameworks, model lifecycle management)

• Experience coordinating across architecture, cloud engineering, security, IAM, network, data, and platform teams

• Ability to translate AI and AWS platform roadmaps into executable programmes, milestones, and delivery plans

• Understanding of platform-oriented delivery (shared services, reusable components, automated onboarding, self-service)

• Experience establishing governance frameworks, delivery standards, and operating models for large-scale cloud transformation

• Understanding of cloud security, resilience, scalability, operational excellence, and cost-management principles

• Strong stakeholder management, including engaging senior leaders and facilitating decisions

• Very good financial, resource, risk, and dependency-management skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to translate complex information into recommendations and actions

• Advanced presentation and reporting skills, especially with PowerPoint and Excel

• Excellent English communication (spoken and written)
