Description

Own the end-to-end firmware release lifecycle across connected product platforms, ensuring devices remain secure, reliable, current, and supportable through their lifecycle. You will lead release planning, OTA deployment strategy, adoption, and post-release performance while balancing customer impact, security priorities, operational risk, and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated release plans spanning validation, security reviews, certifications, dependencies, communications, operational readiness, and deployment milestones

• Lead release readiness reviews; define rollout stages, customer segmentation, success criteria, rollback plans, and escalation procedures

• Coordinate release execution across Engineering, Security, Quality, Customer Care, Field Operations, and external partners

• Monitor deployment health, adoption, update success/failure rates, version distribution, and exception trends

• Create dashboards and reporting for release performance, customer impact, and operational risk

• Drive recovery for unsuccessful or stalled deployments and ensure issues reach closure

• Lead post-release reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Own legacy OTA platform coordination and migration-related activities

• Translate technical risks and system behavior into clear business impacts and customer-facing recommendations

• Manage vendor relationships, release dependencies, service expectations, and escalations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, Device Lifecycle Management, or related field

• Experience coordinating customer-facing software or firmware releases across cross-functional teams

• Experience defining release requirements, rollout plans, readiness criteria, deployment metrics, and escalation processes

• Working knowledge of embedded firmware, connected-device ecosystems, OTA update systems, cloud services, and release pipelines

Benefits

• Salary range: $88,000.00–$132,000.00 based on experience and qualifications

• Annual bonus and may include equity (role-dependent)
